Buckhurst Hill Yoga to celebrate summer with a community fundraising event

We are truly grateful for Buckhurst Hill Yoga, who will be hosting an event on Sunday 26th June celebrating Summer Solstice and International Yoga Day to fundraise for Epping Forest Heritage Trust. 

  • Time and date: 12pm – 5pm, Sunday 26th June
  • Location: Loughton Rugby Club on the green, via alleyway, next to 80 Hornbeam Road, Buckhurst Hill, IG9 6JX

Speaking about the event, Shahana, Andrea and Maggie, Founders and Yoga Teachers from Buckhurst Hill Yoga said, “We would like to uphold nature the same way nature upholds us!” They expressed their passion for green space and the importance of protecting nature. “Nature provides so much for us, and sometimes we just take it for granted. We would like to bring the community together for a day to celebrate the beautiful things that give us positive energy.”

The event will include 108 Sun Salutations, sacred yoga practice by repeating 108 times of a sequence in a row to enhance spiritual and physical significance. There is also going to be an array of family-friendly activities on the day for all to enjoy, including:

  • Bouncy castle
  • Creative play
  • Zumba & Bollywood dance
  • Bootcamp fun/ fitness sessions (led by instructors)
  • Raffle
  • Yoga
  • Light Refreshments

The event is free to attend. All proceeds raised will be donated to Epping Forest Heritage Trust to support their work to preserve and protect Epping Forest and its irreplaceable biodiversity, culture, and heritage now and for generations to come.
