High Beach Visitor Centre: 10 Years Celebration
Since EFHT’s predecessor organisation, the Friends of Epping Forest, took over running the Centre 10 years ago, volunteers have welcomed over 145 thousand visitors to the Forest, providing advice and guidance about how best to enjoy the Forest in a respectful way.
Muslim Hikers Walk in Epping Forest
On 27th April, 200 walkers from Muslim Hikers, a community group championing diversity and inclusion in the great outdoors, joined us again in the beautiful Epping Forest and hiked a 14-mile trail in the north of the Forest
Shopping at Tesco in Chingford or Highams Park? Vote for us!
We are hoping for a cash boost from the Tesco Stronger Starts scheme to support our new initiative to develop an Epping Forest Walks App. We are shortlisted in the customer vote in the Chingford and Highams Park areas. Vote for us between mid-January to the end of March.

New public display boards have been unveiled at Epping and Loughton Underground Stations this week, as part of a campaign to waymark walking routes into Epping Forest, whilst also promoting the use of public transport.

200 Muslim Hikers explore Epping Forest to “break down barriers to the outdoors”
On Saturday 10th June 200 walkers, part of the groundbreaking group Muslim Hikers, will hike a 14 mile trail in the north of Epping Forest, guided by Epping Forest Heritage Trust with support from the City of London Corporation.
