A number of suggested modifications to the Epping Forest District Local Plan were out for consultation until 9th December. Having asked our members for feedback our response is set out below:
We welcomed some of the changes proposed to the Main Modifications to the Epping Forest District Council Local Plan, while expressing our concern about others.
Our main concerns are in relation to the planned protection to the Forest becoming weakened if there is not a plan-wide approach to assessing impact; insufficient protection against air pollution damaging the Forest, and the proposed Sites of Alternative Natural Green Space not being sufficiently attractive to encourage people to visit them rather than the Forest.
