We are hoping for a cash boost from the Tesco Stronger Starts scheme to support our new initiative to develop an Epping Forest Walks App.
Stronger Starts provides grants of up to £1,500 to local community projects, and Epping Forest Heritage Trust is shortlisted in the customer vote in the Chingford and Highams Park areas.

Between mid-January to the end of March, you can cast your vote for us using a blue token given to you at the check-out each time you shop in one of the Tesco’s below.

About Our Project
We want to develop a free GPS-enabled walking app that offers iconic trials through the wonderful Epping Forest. We hope this will appeal to walkers of all ages and abilities. The key feature would be an offline mapping tool so that walkers can track a walk regardless of whether there is a mobile signal. The app will also contain ‘point of interest’ information to help you get to know Epping Forest and its incredible biodiversity, culture, and heritage.
